Programme Overview:

This programme provides training for students who want to develop psychological knowledge and skills for use in people-oriented careers in helping settings as well as in business settings. It also provides the foundation from which a professional qualification in either clinical/counselling psychology or industrial & organisational psychology can be built. The core modules cover the following broad areas: health psychology, gender and social psychology, traumatology, crosscultural psychology, neuropsychology, research methodology, relationship psychology, psychopathology, psychological assessment and intervention, career psychology, human resource management, organisational behaviour and consumer behaviour.

• Minimum NSC statutory requirements for degree entry must be met. • Mathematics – 45%, or Technical Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy – 65%.

The objective of this programme is to educate persons with an interest in Economics to pursue careers in assisting economic research and economic report writing in public and private sector institutions; the latter including, amongst others, economic journalism.

This programme will enable students to combine a major in Humanities with a major in Law. This will serve as sound preparation for a student who wishes to continue with a two-year LLB thereafter. The BA (Law) provides an avenue for those who wish to position their legal education within a broad Humanities and Social Science context, with a major from disciplines such as political science, economics, psychology, French or communication studies.
